BIOGRAPHY
Francine Turgeon
Pastellist since 1990's, grew up in rural Québec on the shores of the Rivière du Nord with her grand-parents.
She grew up loving the outdoors and exploring nature. Old buildings like old wood barns were numerous in her region back then where her love of old buildings started. They always held a certain sense of mystery to her
Her work reflects her love for nature in all it's fascinating forms. She works in dry pastels and occasionally mixes both dry & oil pastels.
She always loved drawing & coloring so she took different art classes over the years, photography, watercolour, charcoal & pastel in the 80' & 90's. The "Route des Arts d'Argenteuil" county wide art tour from 2000-2005 was one venue in which she participated as well as many other art exhibitions including the 2005 Pastel International Exhibition by the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada in Montreal.
